Greta Thunberg—Swedish Teen who Inspired School Climate Strikes—Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Greta Thunberg, the Swedish teenager who jump started the climate strike movement, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. The news comes as Thunberg is helping to organize a massive global school strike March 15 that is expected to involve at least 1,659 towns or cities in 105 countries, The Guardian reported.

"We have proposed Greta Thunberg because if we do nothing to halt climate change it will be the cause of wars, conflict and refugees," Norwegian Socialist MP Freddy André Øvstegård said, The Guardian reported. "Greta Thunberg has launched a mass movement which I see as a major contribution to peace."

Øvstegård was one of three members of members of Norway's Socialist Left Party to nominate Thunberg, The Associated Press reported. Peace Prize nominations can come from anyone who meets the criteria, including national government officials, former winners and some academics. Nominations for the 2019 prize were due by February 1, and the winner will be announced in October and awarded in December. There are 301 nominations for the 2019 prize, including 223 individuals and 78 groups, according to the Nobel Prize website.

If Thunberg won, the 16-year-old would be the youngest winner ever and the second after 2007 co-winners former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change to be honored for work on climate change, New Scientist reported. The current youngest winner is Malala Yousafzai, who was awarded the prize at age 17 in 2014.

and very grateful for this nomination," Thunberg said in a tweet.

Thunberg started a movement with a one-woman school strike in front of Swedish parliament last August. Thunberg had been part of a group inspired by the Parkland students' movement against gun violence who wanted to do something similar around climate change. When the group could not agree on a plan, Thunberg was motivated by wildfires in Sweden's Arctic region and a record northern European heat wave to go it alone, according to a recent profile in The Guardian. "I painted the sign on a piece of wood and, for the flyers, wrote down some facts I thought everyone should know. And then I took my bike to the parliament and just sat there," she said. "The first day, I sat alone from about 8.30am to 3pm – the regular schoolday. And then on the second day, people started joining me. After that, there were people there all the time." Her action inspired student strikes from Australia to Brussels, and earned her invitations to speak at the COP24 talks in Katowice, Poland in December 2018 and at Davos this year, where she excoriated world leaders for their lack of action. "Our civilization is being sacrificed for the opportunity of a very small number of people to continue making enormous amounts of money," she said at the Poland conference, as USA Today reported.

Thunberg told The Guardian that she suffered from depression when she was younger, partly because of climate change and the lack of action it seemed to inspire. It was talking to her parents about the issue and having them listen to her concerns seriously that helped her realize she could persuade others, too.

"That's when I kind of realised I could make a difference. And how I got out of that depression was that I thought: it is just a waste of time feeling this way because I can do so much good with my life. I am trying to do that still now," she said.

Friday's upcoming strike is proof that Thunberg's activism has had an impact. The Guardian said it was likely to be one of the largest environmental protests in world history.

However, Thunberg is focused on her goal of actually seeing governments take adequate climate action, and will strike every Friday outside the Swedish parliament until her country's policies match up with the Paris agreement. She told New Scientist that she was frustrated with some of the responses the strikes had generated.

"They talk about our age, our looks and so on. The emissions are still rising and that is all that matters. Nothing has happened, that is crucial to remember," she said.

1325 places in 98 countries for this Friday right now! And counting! Can we make it a hundred countries by Friday?

This Friday we are school striking in Washington DC, Moscow, Mumbai, Shanghai, Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, Nuuk, Paris, Nairobi, Santiago, New York, London, Hong Kong, Berlin, Tel Aviv, Toronto, Beirut, Zürich, Kyiv, Havana, Cork, Kampala, Buenos Aires, Seoul, Cape Town, Kyoto, Mexico City, Brussels, Port Vila, Los Angeles, Rome, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, Auckland

Greta Thunberg 22 hrs •

On Friday March 15th 2019 well over 1,5 million students school striked for the climate in 2083 places in 125 countries on all continents.

The favorite argument here in Sweden (and everywhere else…) is that it doesn’t matter what we do because we are all too small to make a difference. Friday’s manifestation was the biggest day of global climate action ever, according to 350. org. It happened because a few schoolchildren from small countries like Sweden, Belgium and Switzerland decided not to go to school because nothing was being done about the climate crisis. We proved that it does matter what you do and that no one is too small to make a difference.

People keep asking me ”what is the solution to the climate crisis.” And how do we ”fix this problem”. They expect me to know the answer.

That is beyond absurd as there are no ”solutions” within our current systems. No one ”knows” exactly what to do. That’s the whole point. We can’t just lower or heighten some taxes or invest in some ”green” funds and go on like before.

Yes there are many many things that are very good and necessary, and improves the situation. Such as solar- and wind power, circular economy, veganism, sustainable farming and so on. But even those are just parts of a greater picture.

We can no longer only focus on individual and separate issues like electrical cars, nuclear power, meat, aviation, bio fuels etc etc. We urgently need a holistic view to adress the full sustainability crisis and the ongoing ecological disaster. And this is why I keep saying that we need to start treating the crisis as the crisis it is. Because only then - and only guided by the best available science (as is clearly stated throughout the Paris Agreement) can we together start creating the global way forward.

But that can never happen as long as we allow the ”yeah-but-what-about-nuclear-power- then-debate” to go on and on and on. This is wasting our time. This is climate delayer-ism.

We need to keep a great number of thoughts in our head at same time and yet move forward with the changes at unprecedented speed.

Nuclear power, according to the IPCC, can be a small part of a very big new carbon free energy solution, especially in countries and areas that lack the possibility of a full scale renewable energy supply - even though its extremely dangerous, expensive and time consuming. But let’s leave that debate until we start looking at the full picture.

Some people seem so desperate to go on with the comforts and luxuries of their every day life that they tell others to not have any children. As children, speaking for our little sisters and brothers, we don’t find that very encouraging. It is not us or future generations who have created this. And yet - once again - you blame us.

If not even the scientists, politicians, media and the UN currently can speak up on what exactly needs to be done to ”solve” the climate crisis (in other words, dramatically lowering our emissions starting today) , then how could we, some schoolchildren, know? How can you leave that burden to us?

Once you have done your homework, you realize that we need new politics. We need a new economics, where everything is based on our rapidly declining and extremely limited carbon budget.

But that is not enough. We need a whole new way of thinking. The political system that you have created is all about competition. You cheat when you can because all that matters is to win. To get power. That must come to an end. We must stop competing with each other. We need to start cooperating and sharing the remaining resources of this planet in a fair way. We need to start living within the planetary boundaries, focus on equity and take a few steps back for the sake of all living species. We are just passing on the words of the science. Our only demand is that you start listening to it. And then start acting.

So please stop asking your children for the answers to your own mess.

Relative Quasar Generated Energy

TPEOM is an alternative green energy offering & it’s not solar, not wind, not hydro. Not Nuclear. It’s Relative Quasar Generated Energy, as per Dr. Prof. Albert Einstein, that is constantly all around and fully available anywhere any time. The power radiated by Quasars is enormous: the most powerful Quasars have luminosities thousands of times greater than a galaxy such as the Milky Way.
Well, TPEOM does know the way for its technology to tap into that totally free Quasar Relative Energy source.
With the TPEOM Energy Cell there is Absolutely, No Power Outages. No harm to anything animate or inanimate. The Energy Cell Performs as an absolutely environmentally ecological biodiverse friendly partner to planet Earth.
A Quasar is continuously radiating energy by the billions of watts of radiant ‘Relative’ 'Quasar' energy’. The TPEOM Energy Cell is tapping into that 'Quasar' energy’ 24/7 There are absolutely no ‘wasted’ byproducts from the TPEOM Energy Cell.
With steadfastly operational performance for a minimum of 400 years by maintaining the Energy Cell in a clean, pure low temperature compartment of -28 C = -18.4 F that the Energy Cell is kept within and thus supplying (electrical power) from the Energy Cell.
Being of no 'waste', ‘No losses’ from the totally cost effective savings energy cell item.
Even though it continues its operating performance 24/7.

For SEA being at 240 VAC, 50Hz @ 1 phase then 240 V @ 13.3 A = 3192 Watt, Near Same as UK, or Europe.

To sell this into USA is then 120 VAC 50~60 Hz @ 30 A or 3600 W.

The Energy Cell easily matches these requirements.

The physical size of this TPEOM Energy Cell stands as;
cm
L 15.707963267949 cm, D 3.5 cm, R 1.75 cm, C 10.995574287564276334619251841478 cm.

Bravo unit weight 4.86 Kg or 10.72 Lbs B. Bravo unit weight 5.25 Kg or 11.57 Lbs

This is easily handled by one human hand of any one at age 12 up to whatever.

This can be placed anywhere energy is needed instead of a fire of a campsite or a wood burning stove. (India or Africa)

One Energy Cell will completely electrically power any home of 2 levels of top level of 160 sq. ft. Lower level of 2,133 sq. ft. Quad bath & toilet. 4 bedrooms, a large electric kitchen with a 4 burners + oven stove of 25” depth x 38” width, with variable thermal setting.

This goes same~same for internal house thermals, hot or cool. For AC there is a need for a DC ~ AC inverter of at least 2600 Watts! Bravo DC~AC are ok. You’re being set as using 240 volts then your amperage calculates into 10.83 amps, 2.6 Kwh. South East Asia, United Kingdom, Europe, Most of the world. You’re being set as using 120 volts then your amperage calculates into 13.34 amps, 1.6 Kwh USA.
The shipped cost of the unit is USD $300.00 & $425.00

As to Nichola Tesla and Albert Einstein this Relative Energy is in keeping with Dr, Albert’s Relativity presentation that is decades ago confirmed.

H2O
Unlimited Clean Clear Pure Water
TPEOM, has an alternative as a source for clear purely atomically, chemically clean H2O (water) as needed and as much of it as is needed and when and where at it is needed. H2O is just the combination of 2 atomic elements into a molecule of water. The EMC~MEC can in a moment produce all the water molecules as needed to be as a full large 3 liter bottle of water. This method can and will be replicated as much as needed. Since the EMC ~ MEC 'Converter' has its own energy source then it can produce anytime anywhere as needed.
